Grant Writing
When grant funding gets tough
Competition for grants is super fierce at the moment. Grant agencies and foundations are receiving more applications than ever. Yet, you have a problem: you need funds to run your program but can’t increase the number of proposal submissions to keep up with the increasing competition.
Therefore, grant writing services might be interesting to you if you’re one of two types of people:
- Type 1: You’re too busy to apply to more than one or so grants per season. You need help submitting more than that to increase your chances of being funded.
- Type 2: Your team doesn’t have experience in writing formal grant proposals. You need help writing attractive, structured narratives about your science and/or innovation that are specifically catered to the grant reviewers evaluating your applications.
Taking your projects to the next level
What you get
I offer grant writing services to help you increase your chances of securing competitive funding and reaching your project goals. You’ll benefit from my expertise, which stems from over two decades of experience in scientific research, research support, editing & proofreading, and science writing.
Credentials
My early track record as a research scientist includes successfully funded grants from the European Commission’s FP7 Marie Curie IIF program, the Agassiz Foundation, and other small and medium grants, as well as contributions to a USDA Hatch proposal. Back then, my success rate ~50%.
Since 2025, I’ve returned to the grant-writing scene and have been offering my expertise to help scientists and innovators develop attractive, targeted proposals. So far, I’ve worked on a number of EU Horizon and simliarly high-tiered grant proposals.
Tailored support
We’ll discuss your project needs and vision, clarify the details of the narrative, and develop the proposal(s) via iterative feedback so that the final product(s) reflect your vision.
Subject areas
I mainly cover science and innovation topics related to the life sciences, sustainability, and agriculture.
All types of entities (SMEs, academics, nonprofits, RTOs, etc.) are welcome.
I look forward to hearing from you! Let’s discuss your specific needs, feasibility, and timeline for preparing your proposals!
